Hi oily family! I am Kathleen Rodin, author of REBOOT – Release Emotions and Remember Wholeness Using Essential Oils. This is my third year sharing REBOOT with all of you in AromaSharing! May I tell a bit about my story and how REBOOT came to be?
I have been a singer most of my life. But six and a half years ago, in a dark time of my life, I quit singing. Not because I wanted to, but because I couldn’t. For months, I literally could not think of a song or the words of a song to sing. I wanted to sing, but I just couldn’t seem to.
As I was paging through my reference guide for essential oils, I noticed a page that contained information about using essential oils on the ears to release emotions. It was called Auricular Emotional Therapy. I noticed there were oils indicated to use for anger, hate and fear, all of which I was dealing with at this time in my life. I applied Valor, Release and Joy on two locations of each ear. About an hour later, as I was home alone doing dishes, I “heard” myself singing! I was shocked! I didn’t even know I was singing; the words of the song were just pouring out of me without thinking. It was like the floodgates poured life-giving water on my parched soul! I was singing! This was when I realized that the essential oils weren’t just for smelling good but also for feeling good. And thus began my journey of using essential oils for emotional release and publishing of REBOOT.
